minimum wage, and substantial investments in skills training programs. She is

committed to advocating for affordable housing policies and supporting small

Adrienne is an educator in the public school system, and her commitment to education

a violation of our constitution's mandate to provide free public education to Texas

Adrienne stands firmly against the school voucher programs being pushed by the

governor and wealthy billionaires. These programs divert much-needed funds from

public schools, which are already underfunded, to benefit wealthy families who can

already afford private school tuition. Vouchers cover only a portion of private school

costs, leaving many parents unable to afford the remaining tuition. Additionally,

vouchers are detrimental to rural areas where private school options are scarce or

nonexistent. This approach fails to serve all students, as private schools can selectively

admit students and often do not accommodate those with special needs.

Moreover, voucher programs lack transparency, as private schools are not required to

disclose how the funds are spent, and there is no compelling data showing that these

programs improve student achievement. The best strategy for supporting our students

and communities is to invest in Texas's public schools. Adrienne is committed to

ensuring that public schools receive the funding they need to provide a high-quality

education for every child, regardless of their background or location. By strengthening

our public school system, we can build a brighter future for all Texas students.

Adrienne is committed to restoring abortion rights in Texas, a state currently known for

having some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the U.S., banning abortion without

exceptions. These draconian measures endanger women's health, economically harm

women and their families, and disproportionately impact women of color, those with

limited economic means, and those in rural areas.

Access to comprehensive sex education, contraception, and family planning services

are proven to be more effective in reducing abortion rates than restrictive laws.

Adrienne believes in respecting reproductive rights for women, including the right to

choose an abortion. It is crucial to restore abortion rights and protect patients and

providers from legal risks. Restrictive abortion laws are linked to higher rates of

maternal mortality, and Texas has the 14th highest maternal mortality rate in the U.S.

Adrienne advocates treating abortion as essential health care, ensuring that all women

have access to safe and legal abortion services, which is fundamental to their health

and well-being.

Texas has the highest uninsured rate in the U.S., which significantly harms lower-

income families by reducing their access to essential health care services. This lack of

coverage leads to increased reliance on uncompensated emergency care, driving up

costs for everyone and straining the healthcare system. The absence of Medicaid

expansion disproportionately affects rural residents, who often have limited access to

medical facilities, and ultimately hurts the overall Texas economy.

By not expanding Medicaid, Texas has forfeited $100 billion in federal funds over the

past decade, effectively subsidizing Medicaid expansion in other states while leaving

our own residents vulnerable. Expanding Medicaid would not only provide vital health

coverage to millions of Texans but also stimulate economic growth and reduce the

financial burden on hospitals and taxpayers. Adrienne is committed to advocating for

Medicaid expansion to improve healthcare access, support the state's economy, and

ensure a healthier future for all Texans
